Need damaged plaster repaired properly?
The electrician has been and left chases running up every wall. A radiator came off and took a chunk with it. There's a crack above the door that keeps opening up, or a patch by the window that sounds hollow when you tap it.
None of that needs a whole room replastering. It needs someone who'll cut the damage out properly rather than smear filler over it and hope.
How a repair is done properly
The damaged area is cut back to sound plaster — usually further than people expect, because feathering new plaster over loose old plaster just moves the problem along a few inches.
Depth is then built back up in coats so the repair finishes level with the surrounding wall, with scrim or mesh over cracks and joints that are likely to move again.
The finish coat is trowelled up to match the surrounding surface. Where a wall has several repairs in it, skimming the full wall afterwards gives a far better result than a patchwork of individually perfect patches.

Do you take on small plastering jobs?
Yes. Single patches, chases and small areas of damage are all welcome — plenty of jobs start with one wall and grow from there.
Will the repair be noticeable once painted?
A properly cut-out and finished repair shouldn't be. Where a wall has lots of separate patches, skimming the whole wall afterwards is often the better-looking and better-value option.
My ceiling is cracked — does it all need replacing?
Not always. Some cracks can be cut out, reinforced and skimmed over. Sagging or hollow lath and plaster usually does better being overboarded. A couple of photos will normally tell the story.
Can you repair damp-damaged plaster?
Yes, but the source of the damp needs sorting first, otherwise new plaster will fail the same way. Once the wall is dry, the affected plaster is removed and rebuilt.
